However, local governments are asked not to be complacent with statistical figures.

Because, in the field, there are still many families who live in very limited conditions and need direct assistance.

Blora Deputy Regent Sri Setyorini asked sub-district heads, village heads, village heads and regional officials to go directly to meet poor residents.

Data collection must not stop on paper. The real conditions of the community must be the basis for determining aid and empowerment programs.

"If we go down to the villages, the fact is that there are still many poor people. Some truly need attention and care. Therefore, we must not only look at the data but also observe the real conditions on the ground," said the Deputy Regent.

He stated that Blora's poverty rate was recorded at 10.58 percent in 2025. This year, the district government is targeting a further decline in that figure, which will be between 0.11 and 0.71 percent.

This means the poverty rate is expected to be reduced to around 10.47 percent or lower. However, this target is not sufficiently met through district-level programs.

According to him, handling must start from the sub-district level to the village and urban village levels.

Regional poverty alleviation coordination teams are asked to actively identify residents who need assistance.

"If a family needs help, don't wait. Report it immediately and work together to find a solution. This can be done through regional government agencies (OPD), Baznas (National Alms Agency), village governments, or other parties with assistance programs," he stressed.

He also reminded that poverty alleviation should not be limited to distributing social assistance.

Empowerment programs that can generate income for poor families should be increased.

One of them is through productive assistance such as laying hens.

This assistance is considered to be a source of income if accompanied by adequate cages, feed and support.

"Don't just provide aid to feed the poor today. We need to think about how people can earn an income and live more independently," he said.

According to him, poverty is also related to education, health, housing conditions, and basic needs. Therefore, addressing it requires cross-sectoral collaboration.

He requested that data on poor families and vulnerable groups be continuously updated to prevent those truly in need from being excluded from government programs.
