For the Cabean Dam, the Blora Regency Government will try to encourage the central government to designate the project as a National Strategic Project (PSN).

This effort is expected to open up opportunities for strengthening budget support so that development can continue until completion.

The Regent explained that the target for completing the Cabean Dam had changed from the initial plan of 2026 to 2028 due to budget adjustments.

"We are currently pushing several central governments to designate the Cabean Dam as a National Strategic Project (PSN) as well. This will help with budgeting," he explained.

In addition to the Cabean Dam, the Blora Regency Government also ensures coordination efforts regarding the construction of the Karangnongko Dam.

The Regent said that the Blora Regency Government will coordinate with the Ministry of Forestry regarding the land used for the construction of the Karangnongko Dam.

Coordination will also be carried out with the Regent of Bojonegoro and the Regent of Ngawi to encourage the continuation of the project.

In addition to physical development, the local government also pays attention to the affected communities.

"So, we, along with the Regent of Bojonegoro and the Regent of Ngawi, will work to continue Karangnongko, including the hopes of our community in about five affected villages. We will also discuss how to support these affected communities, such as the Translok program, local transmigration. We will propose a solution to this issue to the central government," the Regent said.

Regarding the Cabean Dam, the Head of the PJSA Division of the Pemali Juana BBWS, Lalu Ardian Bagus Nugroho, revealed that the progress of the Cabean Dam work has reached 25.6 percent and is still ongoing.

Based on the initial contract, construction began in December 2023 and was targeted for completion in December 2026. However, the budget efficiency policy followed by budget recomposition has impacted the project completion schedule adjustments.

"The Cabean project, which was originally targeted for completion in December 2026, has proposed extending the deadline to 2028 due to budget efficiency and other issues," he said.
