INFOKU, BLORA – The direct effect of budget efficiency has also affected the target restaurant tax revenue in Blora Regency.
This year, the tax target for this sector is set at IDR 5 billion, with one of the considerations being the reduction in office food and beverage (mamin) spending.
To date, restaurant tax revenue realization has reached around IDR 4.4 billion.

This figure is equivalent to 88 percent of the target set by the local government.
With that achievement, there is still around IDR 600 million to be achieved by the end of the year.
Head of the Regional Revenue Collection and Control Division of the Blora BPPKAD, Siti Rokhayah, told the press that the adjustment of the restaurant tax target was inseparable from the government's spending efficiency policy.
One of the impacts is seen in spending on food and beverage needs in office activities.
"This reduction in spending was also a consideration in determining the restaurant tax revenue target. One reason is the reduction in office food and beverage spending," he said.
Although the restaurant tax target has been adjusted, he said the regional government is still working to increase overall tax revenue.
Optimizing revenue from various tax sectors is considered important to maintain regional fiscal capacity.
"However, overall regional tax revenue has increased," he stressed.
According to Siti, the dynamics of government spending are one of the factors that can influence restaurant tax revenue.
When spending on consumption in office activities decreases, the business activities of food and beverage providers related to these expenditures also have the potential to be affected.
"Therefore, restaurant tax revenue achievement needs to be viewed in conjunction with developments in economic activity and spending, which are the sources of taxable transactions," he explained.

He also explained that with a realization of IDR 4.4 billion, Blora's restaurant tax revenue had approached the annual target.
"However, we still need to reach the remaining Rp 600 million target to ensure the sector's revenue reaches the set figure," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
