INFOKU, BLORA – Nearly 500 people participated in the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination activity held at the Blora Regent's Hall, Thursday (8/10/2026).
This activity is a preventive measure to increase public awareness, especially women, regarding the importance of cervical cancer prevention while also encouraging concern for women's health in Blora Regency.
The vaccination drive is supported by the Blora Regency Government through a partnership between the Blora Regency Regional Health Office (Dinkesda), the Grobogan Food and Drug Monitoring Center (POM), the Indonesian Civil Servant Corps (KORPRI), and several partners and the private sector through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support. The vaccination drive is also part of a series of events commemorating KORPRI's anniversary and National Health Day (HKN).
Blora Regent Arief Rohman, S, expressed his appreciation to all parties who collaborated in organizing the activity.

According to him, HPV vaccination is a form of joint effort in preventing disease, especially cervical cancer, which is a health issue that requires attention.
"On behalf of the Blora Regency Government, we express our extraordinary appreciation for the implementation of this vaccination program. This is a preventative measure from all of us," said the Regent.
The Regent emphasized that the Blora Regency Government is committed to continuing to pay attention to public health, including women's health.
This commitment is realized through support and synergy with KORPRI, regional apparatus, partners, and various other parties who are concerned about improving public health.
"The government is certainly committed to this, with the support of KORPRI (Indonesian National Armed Forces Corps) and all our partners, in our commitment to women's health through this vaccination program. The benefits are extraordinary, as we've explained earlier. We also express our appreciation to the vaccine recipients," he explained.
According to the Regent, the high level of public enthusiasm is a positive thing and deserves appreciation. Despite the cost of vaccination, the public remains highly interested, especially with the support offered in the form of discounts for participants.
"Even though it's paid, we get a discount. Thank God, the enthusiasm of the participants was extraordinary. There were 500 participants," he said.
He hopes the program won't stop here. He believes vaccination, as part of preventive efforts, needs to be continuously promoted and developed so that more people have access to information and disease prevention services.

"We should support this initiative, as it demonstrates preventative measures in this area. Hopefully, this initiative won't stop here, but perhaps it can be further expanded in the future," said the Regent.
The Regent also said that this activity was a good opportunity to increase public awareness about the importance of maintaining health from an early age.
According to him, prevention efforts will be much better if carried out together through education, health checks, and vaccinations.
"We, the Blora Regency Government, express our appreciation and gratitude. We appreciate the synergy between the Regional Health Office (Dinkesda), the Food and Drug Monitoring Center (Loka POM), the Indonesian National Police (KORPRI), and all our partners and CSR partners who have organized the vaccination program," said the Regent.
He added that the participation of around 500 participants showed that public awareness of the importance of protecting women's health was growing.
Moreover, cervical cancer is a type of cancer that requires serious attention because it can have a major impact on women's health and family life.
"Hopefully, this is our effort to protect the mothers and women in Blora from cervical cancer. As we mentioned earlier, cervical cancer is the second-leading cancer killer in Indonesia," he continued.
The Regent hopes that this activity will provide real benefits to the community and inspire various parties to continue taking part in promotional and preventive activities in the health sector.
"Hopefully, this will inspire us all. Once again, I would like to thank all parties who participated in making this event a success," the Regent concluded.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Grobogan POM Center, Ronald Hatoguan Manik, said that the HPV vaccination activity was part of the POM Agency's program together with the DPKN with a national vaccination target of reaching one million vaccines.
He explained that specifically in the Grobogan POM Loka work area, vaccinations have reached more than 2,000 participants, both from Grobogan and Blora Regencies.
According to him, this achievement demonstrates the public's support and enthusiasm for disease prevention programs through vaccination.
"This is a program from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (DPKN). The target is actually 1 million vaccines across Indonesia. However, here in the Grobogan Regency POM Center, we've been able to vaccinate a total of over 2,000, both in Grobogan and Blora," Ronald explained.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Blora Regency Government, especially the Regent of Blora, for providing support for the implementation of vaccinations for women in Blora Regency.
Local government support is considered crucial for strengthening collaboration in raising public awareness of the importance of cervical cancer prevention.
"We express our appreciation and deepest gratitude to the Regent for supporting this vaccination program for women in Blora Regency," he said.
According to Ronald, HPV vaccination plays a crucial role in cervical cancer prevention. He believes women's health plays a strategic role in family life, as women play a crucial role in building and maintaining family resilience and supporting the growth and development of the next generation.
On the other hand, the Head of the Blora Regency Regional Health Office, Edy Widayat, explained that the activities carried out at the Blora Regent's Hall were not only in the form of HPV vaccination.
