INFOKU, BLORA –The Blora DPRD through Commission A reminded the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) to immediately have a clear business direction.
Don't let the cooperative that was formed to drive the village economy actually have difficulty running its operations because it doesn't have a definite source of income.
Chairman of Commission A of the Blora DPRD, Supardi, said that the regional government together with the KDMP management need to immediately draft regulations that will form the basis for developing cooperative business units.

According to him, business opportunities such as subsidized LPG agents and bases, as well as the distribution of subsidized fertilizer to farmers, can be a potential sector if regulated with the right scheme.
"If KDMP is given the authority to manage gas agents or depots, as well as subsidized fertilizer distribution, the regulations must be clear. They must not conflict with existing businesses or create new problems in the field," he said.
According to Supardi, regulatory certainty will make it easier for cooperatives to develop business plans and calculate potential revenue. This way, KDMP will not only be established as a new institution but will be truly capable of running a profitable business.
In addition to business units, Commission A also asked the government to immediately determine the cooperative's operational scheme, including the amount of employee salaries.
This certainty is considered important to prevent problems arising when KDMP begins operating.
"The employee salary figures must be decided immediately. We don't want to let bad news emerge because the cooperative lacks capital just to pay employees," he stressed.
Supardi added that each KDMP also needs to be equipped with measurable business targets. These targets, including turnover and profit, must be established from the outset as benchmarks for the cooperative's success.
"There must be clear targets. What turnover do you want to achieve, what profit do you aim for each year? If you have targets, evaluation will be easier," explained the man known as Mbah Pardi.
He hopes that KDMP in Blora will not only be an implementer of national programs, but will be able to grow as a healthy and independent cooperative.
