INFOKU, BLORA -Field Schools continue to be continued and developed by Regent Arief Rohman.
This is a manifestation of the Blora Regency Government's commitment to increasing and accelerating regional food sovereignty in the rice crop sector.
Arief Rohman said that Field School is a teaching and learning process that involves the active participation of farmers.
Farmers explore and find facts, analyze, discuss, and make decisions together based on their farming experience.
"Field School is a real manifestation of the experience-based learning process. This is part of our joint efforts in encouraging agricultural transformation towards food independence," he said .
Arief further explained that the field school was guided directly by farmers or agricultural extension workers in the field.
To make the initiated field school program a success, the party invites all parties to continue to synergize and innovate in advancing Blora agriculture.

The Field School Program is claimed to have successfully increased farmers' rice harvest production. As in Jepon District, 25 hectares of land managed by 9 farmer groups can harvest an average of 6 to 7 tons per hectare.
The district government plans to expand the planting area with superior seeds.
In the Field School program implemented in Jepon District, the variety used is M70D or super early maturing rice which can be harvested in around 70 days, producing 6.08 tons per hectare.

The two Inpari 50 varieties as a comparison variety, produced 7 tons per hectare.
