INFOKU, BLORA – Submission of additional allocation of 3 kilogram (kg) LPGPertamina (Persero) following a surge in demand from residents, the Blora Regency Government through the Blora Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Service ( Dindagkop UKM ).
Head of the Blora Regency Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Kiswoyo, told the press that the increase in consumption of 3 kg LPG cylinders was starting to be felt in a number of areas.
The Ruwahan tradition and the increasing activity of residents selling Ramadan takjil are the main factors driving the increase in demand.
"Demand has started to rise. In addition to Ruwahan (pilgrimages), many residents have started selling takjil (snacks) so the need for LPG per kilogram has also increased," he said.
As a precautionary measure, the Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office has sent a letter requesting additional allocation to PT Pertamina (Persero) on February 23, 2026.
The total number of applications reached 188 LOs or the equivalent of 105,280 melon LPG cylinders .
According to Kiswoyo, the additional optional allocation is expected to maintain distribution stability, especially during Ramadan when household and micro-business consumption increases significantly.
Without additional supplies, he said, there is concern that there will be a gap between LPG demand and availability, which could potentially trigger price increases at the retail level.
