INFOKU, BLORA -The challenge of developing theindustrialin several areas of Blora is the difficulty of accessing water.
To overcome this, the Blora Regency Government plans to collaborate with academics to unravel this problem.
One of the options that will be implemented is by utilizing the water of Bengawan Solo .
Head of the Regional Planning and Development Agency ( Bappeda ) of Blora Regency, A. Mahbub Djunaidi, said that drought in Blora is a challenge in itself, especially when wanting to develop the industrial sector in Blora.

"In Blora, the weakness is related to water sufficiency ," he said.
According to him, water is one of the basic needs in the industrial sector.
He explained that based on data held by the district government, every year hundreds of villages in Blora Regency experience drought.
"Blora is an area that often experiences drought. We know that every year the number of drought-stricken villages in Blora increases," he said.
Mahbub said, to overcome the drought problem, currently the Blora Regency Government is working together with Diponegoro University ( Undip ) Semarang .
Through this cooperation scheme, efforts are being initiated to utilize water from the Bengawan Solo.

Namely, by drawing the water to drought-prone areas.
"Let's just pray that the trial will be successful, so that Blora will not have a water shortage," he explained.
It is known that Blora has great potential in the agricultural sector . Agricultural-based industries are expected to develop and improve people's standard of living.
The district government has previously collaborated with biomass investors , who plan to establish a factory in Blora, by absorbing community agricultural products as raw materials for their products.
Head of the Blora One-Stop Integrated Investment Service ( DPMPTSP ) Bondan Arsiyanti said that his party is still trying to attract investors to enter Blora.
This year, only six medium to large scale investors have committed to continuing investment projects in the region.
