Hundreds of Gandu Residents Storm the Blora Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) to Demand Transparency in Oil Mine Management

INFOKU, BLORA -Hundreds ofresidents of Dukuh Blimbing, Gandu Village, Bogorejo District came to the Blora DPRD office.

They complained about the management of oil mines, which they considered to be non-transparent, particularly regarding the distribution of profits to the community.

The complaint was received by Blora DPRD member Supardi along with a number of other council members.

In the mediation, representatives from Mataram Connection Nusantara and the management of the miners' association were present.

Resident coordinator, Rudi Aryanto, said that currently there are around 200 residents who are currently demanding the seven demands conveyed at the meeting.

7 Demands

The first demand, residents asked for clarity regarding the existence or absence of an environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) document.

"We are asking for all the basic principles of mining management to be made transparent, including the AMDAL," Rudi told the press .

Second, residents demanded compensation from the community according to the initial agreement of 20 percent.

Third, request transparency in oil mining management, including income and profit sharing.

Fourth, residents requested an audit of the management budget.

Fifth, request clarity on the legality of the association and its position in the village government.

Sixth, residents demanded decisive action from the village government. They even urged the association to be disbanded if it was deemed incompetent in managing community interests.

"Seventh, we are asking for transparency regarding the 10 percent of funds for the residents of Dukuh Blimbing that already exist," he explained.

According to Rudi, the demand arose because residents felt the distribution of profits from the Association had been unequal. Furthermore, the community had not received transparent information regarding the management of funds derived from oil mining.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Mining Association, Agus Rumanto, said that the distribution of results carried out by his party was in accordance with calculations.

"The distribution is appropriate. There are many operational costs that need to be backed up, including BOP and other needs," he told journalists .

The mediation lasted about three hours.

However, the meeting has not yet produced an agreement.

The two parties will meet again to discuss the residents' demands.

Meanwhile, a member of the Blora DPRD, Supardi, said that the issue of people's wells must be returned to its original purpose, namely providing benefits to the surrounding community.

"This community well is for the people. So there must be a clear contribution to the Gandu community," said Supardi.

T ransparency in the use of money is still gray

He said that the problem with Mataram Connection Nusantara had been relatively clarified.

However, the issue of transparency in fund management at the association level remains a challenge.

"Mataram Connection has made it clear. The problem is that the association has not yet provided transparency regarding the use of the 30 percent of the money. It's still unclear or unclear," explained Supardi .

Supardi emphasized that the association had not been able to meet the standards demanded by the community, so a follow-up meeting was needed.
