INFOKU, BLORA -The religious study stage in Jati Village, Jati District, Blora Regency collapsed during a religious study event on Sunday (15/12/2024) evening.
The study is planned to be led by Gus Muhammad Iqdam Kholid or Gus Iqdam.
Jati Police Chief, AKP Sugiman said, the stage collapsed because the roof of the stage was not strong enough to withstand the puddles of rainwater that had fallen since 20.30 WIB.
"There were lots of puddles on the roof of the stage that couldn't flow down," he said when met by reporters at the Blora Police Headquarters, Monday (16/12/2024).

At the time the incident occurred, Gus Iqdam was still on his way and not on stage.
He confirmed that there were no injuries or fatalities in the incident where the pengajian stage collapsed.
"Maybe the building was slowly collapsing, but there were no fatalities," he explained.
Due to the collapsed stage for the religious study, Gus Iqdam canceled his participation in the event.

"The results of coordination with the committee decided that the activity could not be carried out because the situation and place did not meet the requirements," he added. (Endah/ IST )
