INFOKU, BLORA – As reported yesterday, the General Election Commission ( KPU ) of Blora Regency officially announced the acquisition of seats and 45 legislative candidates ( caleg ) were elected in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
However, of the 45 elected legislative candidates , two elected candidates withdrew .
Chairman of the Blora KPU Widi Nurintan Ary Kurnianto said that the elected legislative candidates who resigned from the Golkar Party were Meidi Usmanto from electoral district (dapil) 3 (Randublatung, Jati, and Kradenan) and PDIP candidate Indra Eko Sulistyono from electoral district 5 (Tunjungan, Banjarejo, and Ngawen).
"We received the introductory letter from PDIP yesterday, Thursday, when the elected legislative candidates were determined.
"From the cover letter, it was stated that one of the elected legislative candidates had resigned, namely the elected legislative candidate for Electoral District 5," he explained.
Meanwhile, the letter from the Golkar Party was received by the Blora KPU long before the determination of the elected legislative candidates.
The KPU then followed up on the resignation letter according to regulations. He admitted that he did not know for certain the reason for the resignation of the elected legislative candidate.
The letter did not state the reason for resigning.
"Later we will know after we (KPU) clarify things to the political parties concerned. "So, after clarification, we will know the reason and we will process it," he explained.
The announcement of the determination of the elected legislative candidates is in accordance with PKPU Number 6 of 2024.
