Robbers Bought Four Ounces of Gold in Kedungtuban, Loss Estimated at IDR 150 Million

INFOKU, BLORA –  The robbery of the  " Pure " gold  shop  in Wado Village,  Kedungtuban District  yesterday afternoon (16/4) is still being investigated by the police. 

It is suspected that the robber carried out his action using  a firearm  (senpi). The robbers managed to steal four ounces of gold. It is estimated that the loss reached IDR 150 million.

Kasatreskrim  Blora Police,  AKP Selamet, said that his party was still investigating the case. The Blora Police Team was dispatched to comb the crime scene (TKP), install a police line, and check  closed-circuit television  ( CCTV ) video recordings.

“We are currently asking for information about this victim at the police headquarters. "We have deployed officers to check CCTV around the crime scene," he said. It is known that the perpetrator carried out his action in broad daylight, at around 11.30 WIB yesterday, at  the "Pure" Gold Shop  owned by Haji Takim.

From the information gathered, the perpetrators were two people and were riding an automatic motorbike, then fled north. Losses are estimated at IDR 150 million.

Selamet admitted that he could not yet confirm that the perpetrators were the same robber syndicate as the gold shop robbery incident in Cepu on August 15 2023.

"We can't confirm yet, wait for the results of further investigations," he said.

Ngapiyah, one of the local residents, admitted that at the time of the incident, residents threw stones at the perpetrator.

However, the perpetrator managed to escape north on a motorbike.

"Residents who knew threw stones at the perpetrator who ran away," he said.

It should be noted that the robbery of the "Sahabatku" gold shop in Cepu District last year has not yet been revealed. The case, which is currently being handled by the Crime and Violence Unit ( Jatanras ) of the Central Java Regional Police ( Jateng ), has yet to arrest the two perpetrators of the robbery.  Endah / IST )
