The Blora Manpower and Industry Agency is monitoring and issuing warnings as many companies are recorded as paying wages below the minimum wage.

INFOKU, BLORA -After conducting a field survey, the Blora Department of Industry and Manpower ( Dinperinnaker ) urgedcompanies  to implement  the  District Minimum Wage  ( UMK ).

Because the data shows that many small to medium-scale companies pay wages below the provisions.

Head of  the Blora Manpower and Transmigration Agency,  Endro Budi Darmawan, explained that there are a total of 480 small to large scale companies in Blora Regency.

"With a total of 13,136 workers, 9,023 are men and 4,113 are women," he explained.

These companies operate in various fields.

However, many still do not pay  employee wages  according to the UMK provisions of IDR 2,345,000.

"Some companies haven't met our expectations. They're paying wages below the minimum wage," he added.

To that end, his office continues to monitor, appeal to, and encourage these companies to pay their employees according to the minimum wage (UMK), as mandated by the  Central Java governor's decision .

"We have sent the governor's decision letter to these companies," he said.

Payment of wages according to the UMK is part of an effort to ensure that working people receive welfare.

However, it turns out that in Blora this has encountered obstacles because it is dominated by small and medium-sized companies that have limited financial capabilities.

"Regarding the minimum wage, it's ultimately a bipartite agreement between the company and the workers. It depends on the company's ability to meet it," he concluded.  (Endah/ IST )
