INFOKU, BLORA – Finally, the Blora Regency Government withdrew identification cards for karaoke guides (PK) or lady companions (LC).
The Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, revealed the reason his staff withdrew the LC card, which has caused quite a lot of pros and cons in the community.
"While we are withdrawing it, for technical reasons, the guide will be the organizer's guide," said Arief when met by journalists after the Adipura Cup parade at Blora Square, Central Java, Sunday (10/3/2024.
According to him, the Youth Sports Culture Tourism Service (Dinporabudpar) has provided a report regarding the card controversy for the song guides.
The Regent said that the Blora Regency Government did not need to deal with the LC card issue technically.
However, it is more about coaching and supervision for these workers.

"I ask that our task not be technical, so that our function is only guidance and supervision, it is enough to collect data from the legal entertainment venues, how many PKs there are, this is related to guidance regarding health, social security and so on so that it can be orderly. ," he explained
Even though these cards have been withdrawn, those involved in the world of cafes and karaoke must ensure their legality first.
"As for the cards, I'll tell you what's illegal. If you want to continue, it has to be legal. So, later on, the organizers will give you the cards," he said.
As previously reported, the Blora Regency Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism Service (Dinporabudpar) socialized Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 5 of 2017 concerning the Implementation of Tourism.
In the socialization carried out at the Dinporabudpar office hall, a number of karaoke song guides (PK) or lady companions (LC), as well as cafe and karaoke owners were gathered and informed about the regional regulation.
On the sidelines of the socialization, Dinporabudpar distributed a number of identification cards for karaoke song guides.
Head of Tourism at the Blora Dinporabudpar, Yeti Romdonah, said that there were 18 cards distributed to the PKs.
"There are 18 cards that have been distributed, those who have taken care of them from two karaoke places in Todanan Blora, the others will follow, because many people don't understand the benefits of having this song guide card," said Yeti when interviewed by journalists, Wednesday (28/2/ 2024).

According to him, the identification card will provide benefits and protection to song guides.
