INFOKU, BLORA -Blora Regent Arief Rohman revealed that in 2024, 49,500 tilapia, tawes, tombro and catfish will be stocked in 15 reservoirs/reservoirs.
This is done as an effort to maintain and increase the fish population in a particular area.
"We express our thanks and appreciation to the DP4 ranks of Blora Regency who routinely carry out fish stocking," said the Regent of Blora who was accompanied by the Head of DP4, Ngaliman at the fish stocking event at Embung Rowo Karangjati, Blora District, Wednesday (20/3/2024).
Restocking or stocking of fish in Embung Rowo Karangjati is an effort by the Blora Regency Government through the Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Service (DP4) to support improving the welfare of the local community.

"Of course, this is still far from being compared to the Central Java Province fish consumption figure of 38.83 kg/capita/year and the national fish consumption figure of 56.48 kg/capita/year," explained the Regent.
Meanwhile, Ngaliman, Head of DP4 District, said that during the distribution of fish seeds in Embung Rowo, there were 3,000 fish seeds of three types including Tombro, Patin and Tawes fish.
"This activity is in line with the mission of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, fish restocking is believed to support efforts to improve the welfare of local communities. "And in Blora, fish are routinely stocked in reservoirs/reservoirs every year," he said.
Therefore, the party hopes that this restocking will continue to be carried out sustainably in the following years with a larger number of seeds.
