His party does not want to take risks regarding withdrawing donations from parents which are planned to be used to repair the paving of the local school yard.

Of the 118 parents who attended the invitation, 65 parents received back the money they had handed over to the school committee.

Ahmad said he had returned IDR 2,675,000 from voluntary donations from the parents.

"We are returning all the Jariyah donations from the students' parents so that it doesn't become a polemic," he said.

His party also apologized to the student's parents if their decision to involve the participation of the student's parents to collect the fees caused a polemic.

“We have no intention of carrying out extortion (illegal levies). "Our intentions are sincere for the sake of our sons and daughters," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the student parents, Maslikah, said that she had actually been willing to make a voluntary donation to the school.

“We were sincere from the start because there was no coercion. "For the sake of our children's school," said Muslikah, who admitted that her son was in grade 3.

Likewise, Ana, who is also a student parent, stated that she did not want her donation to be returned because it was for repairs to the school grounds.

"But because it has been our decision, we will follow it," he said.

Separately, the Head of SDN 2 Tambakromo, Fitri Khoirun Nisa, said that this step in returning the fee money was considered the best so that it would not become a problem.

"This step is also in accordance with the direction of the Education Department so that the money donated can be returned to the students' parents immediately. The intention was so that children could return to activities in the school yard. Yes, maybe we don't know about donations. "What is clear is that the donation is completely voluntary without any coercion at all and there is no standard for the amount," he explained to journalists.
