Even though it is considered to be in violation of regulations, the Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of the Blora Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) has so far only issued an appeal to the management.

This finding emerged following a poisoning incident involving 19 students at Sendangrejo Elementary School in Ngawen District on Monday (July 20).

The students were rushed to the Ngawen Community Health Center after consuming food distributed by the Bogowanti SPPG under the auspices of the Waskita Cendekia Partner Foundation.

The owner of SPPG Bogowanti, Sumining, told the press that previously his company used premium cooking oil.

Meanwhile, he continued, Minyakita was used for about a week after being purchased from a supplier.

"We took it from the supplier. I also saw other partners using Minyakita, so I thought it was OK. There are still around three boxes in the warehouse now," he said.

Not Yet Sanctioned

Meanwhile, the Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of SPPG Blora, Artika Diannita, emphasized that the use of subsidized cooking oil does not comply with the provisions for implementing the MBG program.

According to him, the raw materials used should be of premium quality.

However, the agency has not yet imposed sanctions on the partners. The findings will first be reported to the Central Java KPPG for follow-up.

"We'll report it first to the Central Java KPPG. They will then make decisions regarding follow-up and sanctions," he told the press.

Meanwhile, the SPPG Regional Coordinator will only issue an appeal to all partners in Blora Regency to no longer use Minyakita in providing MBG food.
