INFOKU, BLORA –Finally, the Blora Environmental Service (DLH) responded to the polemic regarding C mining activities in the Sendangharjo Village area, Blora District.
In particular, it urged the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Agency to immediately conduct a field review and joint evaluation following public concerns.
Head of the Blora Environmental Agency, Istadi, told the press that his party had coordinated with relevant agencies to follow up on this issue.
According to him, swift action is needed so that the polemics developing in society can be resolved immediately.
"We have reminded the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to conduct a joint review and evaluation. Yesterday, we also coordinated with relevant agencies. We urge the authorities to take immediate action because the public is already worried," he said.
This response came after residents complained about mining activities in the area.
One of them, Joko, admitted that his land, which is more than 3,000 square meters in size, was excavated until its condition changed and was no longer as it was before.
Three Companies
Meanwhile, Hadi Susanto, Head of the Geology, Minerals, and Coal Section of the South Kendeng ESDM Office, explained that there are three companies that have permits in the area, namely PT Hebron Indonesia Jaya, PT Gagak Maju Sejahtera, and PT Berkah Gunung Mulya.
PT Hebron Indonesia Jaya and PT Berkah Gunung Mulya still hold the status of holders of Exploration Mining Business Permits (IUP), so they are not yet permitted to carry out mining activities or sell mining products.
However, field inspections revealed activities that suggest production mining. According to residents, these activities are suspected to be carried out by a third party, not the exploration IUP holder.
"If mining is carried out outside the area that has a Production Operation IUP, it can be categorized as mining without a permit or illegal," he stressed.
He added that the alleged illegal mining activity had been coordinated with law enforcement officials, including the Central Java Regional Police, as it falls under criminal jurisdiction. (Endah/ IST )
