Oh my.... There are 6 PPPK Principal Positions out of 97 Empty Principal Positions for Kindergarten to Junior High School in Blora,

INFOKU, BLORA – It seems that the vacancy for the position of head of state schools in Blora Regency is still quite high.

It was recorded that there are 97 schools that are currently led by acting principals (Plt), ranging from kindergarten to junior high school levels.

This condition means that a number of teachers have to carry out dual duties, namely as teachers and school leaders.

Secretary of the Blora Education Office, Nuril Huda, told the press that dozens of positions had not been definitively filled.

In detail, two kindergartens, 89 elementary schools, and six junior high schools are still being held by Acting Heads.

"There are a total of 97 acting principals, spread across all schools from kindergarten to junior high," he said.

PPPK Holds Principal Position

Of these, six principal positions have been filled by government employees with work agreements (PPPK). They are assigned to SDN Balongrejo, SDN Srigading, SDN 2 Bleboh, SDN 2 Botoreco, SDN 2 Karanggeneng, and SDN 2 Kunduran.

According to Nuril, regulations allow PPPK to become school principals, as long as they are still at the assigned location according to the work contract.

"PPPK can become the principal of the school where he teaches," he explained.

Meanwhile, Blora Education Council Chairman Slamet Pamudji assessed that the vacant position would not significantly disrupt the teaching and learning process.

However, from a management perspective, the principal position should be filled definitively.

"In terms of learning activities, it might not have much of an impact. But for management, it's definitely better if it's definitive," he explained to the press.

He also encouraged the Education Office to immediately expedite the process of filling the position.

According to him, Blora does not lack teachers who are qualified and have the potential to become school principals.

"We have many potential teachers. We just need to encourage and facilitate their participation in the selection process," he said.

Specifically for elementary school level, he emphasized the importance of motivation from the department so that qualified teachers are brave enough to take part in the principal selection process.

Regarding the appointment of PPPK as Acting Principal, Slamet Pamudji considered this to be reasonable.

Moreover, the regulations also open up opportunities for PPPK to become permanent school principals.

"If PPPK (preferred school principals) can become permanent principals under certain conditions, then acting principals are also fine. However, they must be confirmed immediately," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
