INFOKU, BLORA – It can be said that currently the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, fast internet, and all-digital services continues to be echoed.

To enjoy light, they still depend on the mercy of their neighbors.

One of the residents whose house does not yet have electricity, Sukarjo, 66, admitted that he had long wanted to have an independent electricity connection.

However, his income as a traveling ice cream vendor was not enough to cover the costs of the new installation.

"We've lived here for decades. Even now, we still get electricity from our neighbors because we don't have our own connection," he said.

Meanwhile, Buluroto Village Head Margono confirmed that there are still 25 families in his area who do not have independent electricity connections.

According to him, the majority of residents actually want to install their own electricity but are hampered by costs.

"It's not that they don't want to install their own electricity, but they simply can't afford it. So, they're temporarily connecting from a neighbor's house so they can still enjoy the light," he explained to the press.

Margono said the village government had recorded residents who did not have an electricity connection.

His party is ready to propose that the government, PLN, and companies through CSR programs provide free electricity installation assistance.
