INFOKU, BLORA – The Blora Regency Land Office (BPN) is focusing on accelerating land acquisition for two National Strategic Projects (PSN), while simultaneously strengthening efforts to prevent land mafia practices.
Two strategic projects that are currently a priority are the Karangnongko Dam which is located on the border of Blora Regency, Central Java, and Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, and the Cabean Dam in Karanganyar Village, Todanan District.
The Head of the Blora Regency Land Office, Sugiyanto, told the press that his office had established coordination with the Blora District Attorney's Office, the Blora Police, and a number of stakeholders to strengthen synergy in resolving land issues.
"I have experience handling conflicts, land disputes, and eradicating land mafias when I was part of the Land Mafia Task Force," he said.
According to Sugiyanto, resolving land issues cannot be done by a single agency. Collaboration with local governments, law enforcement officials (APH), and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) is required.
"Hopefully, with this synergy, land issues, including land mafia practices in Blora Regency, can be prevented," he said.
He explained that accelerating land acquisition for the Cabean Dam in Todanan District and the Karangnongko Dam in Kradenan District is the main focus of the Blora National Land Agency.
Although both projects have been running for quite some time, the process is still hampered by the ownership status of a number of land plots which do not yet have legal clarity.
"If there are any obstacles in the field, we will immediately coordinate with law enforcement. If it points to land mafia practices, we will handle it comprehensively with the police, prosecutors, and the courts," he stressed.
Sugiyanto added that this problem had also been reported to the Regent of Blora.
The village government and the community around the project site hope that the land acquisition process will be completed soon so that the dam construction can be realized immediately.
"There are still many land titles whose status is unclear. This must be clarified immediately to avoid future problems," he said.
He emphasized that the National Land Agency (BPN) has a role in providing assistance in the land acquisition process to ensure it is carried out according to regulations, is transparent, and minimizes the potential for disputes. (Endah/ IST )
