INFOKU, BLORA – Many accidents have frequently occurred along the Blora - Ngawen road in Blora Regency, Central Java, recently.
As happened last Tuesday, a pile-up involving three vehicles.
There were no fatalities in the accident.
The police said that there had been at least two accidents around the Ngancar Post in the last week.
"Yes, thank God there were no fatalities," said Head of the Blora Police Traffic Unit's Law Enforcement Unit, Ipda Bayu Destya.
He explained that the accidents that occurred on this road were caused by several factors, including human factors, weather factors, and infrastructure factors.
"Human factors include fatigue or exhaustion from the long journey. Weather factors include rain, drizzle, and slippery roads," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding infrastructure factors, there are still minimal street lights on this section of road, and there are still several potholes.

To anticipate further accidents on this route, the police have taken various measures.
"We have coordinated with the relevant agencies, in this case the transportation sector, the Blora Transportation Agency, and we are carrying out the action. The Head of the Kamsel Unit and the Provincial Public Works and Highways Department are working to repair the potholed roads starting from the Kunduran section to Blora," he explained.
Apart from marking potholes, the police have also put up posters warning about driving safety on the side of the road.
"The Police Chief ordered each police station to create safety warning banners. We then added more from the Traffic Police to provide more engaging warnings," he said.
For your information, throughout January 2026 in the Blora Regency area, the Blora Police Traffic Unit recorded 55 traffic accidents, with details of 4 people dying, 63 victims suffering minor injuries, and material losses of Rp. 25,800,000. (Endah/ IST )
