Central Java Police Claim to Have Named a Suspect in Cat Kicking Case, Blora Police Have Not Yet

INFOKU, BLORA –The latest news on the development of the cat kicking case at  Kridosono Field ,  Blora , is still giving rise to different statements within  the police . 

The Central Java Regional Police   stated that they had named a suspect.

However,  the Blora Police  said that  the suspect  had not been named.

As quoted by a number of media, the Head of Public Relations  of the Central Java Regional Police,  Kombes Pol Artanto, said that PJ, the perpetrator  who kicked the cat , had been named a suspect after the Blora Police held a case.

According to him, the elements of a criminal act have been fulfilled based on the evidence collected by investigators.

"Yes, he is a suspect," said Artanto at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters, Friday (6/2).

However, this statement differs from the information given by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Blora Police, AKP Zaenul Arifin.

Zaenul stated that until now no suspects have been named in this case.

However, the status of the case has been upgraded from investigation to inquiry stage.

"It has reached the investigation stage," he said briefly.

AKP Zaenul explained to the press that investigators had also uncovered the alleged perpetrator's motive for kicking the cat.

The perpetrator was said to have felt annoyed because he was disturbed by the presence of a cat while  jogging  at Kridosono Field.

"The perpetrator felt disturbed by the presence of the cat," he explained.

He explained that when he first passed by, the perpetrator clapped his hands as a signal for the cat owner and his cat to move aside.

However, when he passed by again and the cat was still at the location, the perpetrator then kicked it.

In addition, investigators have conducted clarification with six people, including the alleged perpetrator.
