Three years ago, a neighboring house was swept away by  the landslide . Now only the foundation remains. A similar threat still looms over Suparlan's house.

"At that time,  the bamboo  on the riverbank collapsed, swept away  by the current . Land and houses followed suit," he said.

Having no other choice, Suparlan could only endure.

The house was the only asset he owned.

So he installed bamboo as an emergency support to prevent ground movement.

"The bamboo has been installed for a year now. If it gets damaged, it's replaced," he said.

He hoped the bamboo grove behind his house wouldn't be swept away by  the landslide . The house was about 70 meters from the river, which gave him hope.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Water Resources Division of the Blora Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency ( DPUPR  ), Surat, said that  future handling  is expected to be carried out through the Lusi River routine budget.

"We will coordinate with  the Pemali Juana  River Basin Agency (  BBWS )  so that handling can be carried out permanently and sustainably," he said.

Separately, Mlangsen Village Head Evi Kartikasari explained that landslides on Jalan Mangga had been occurring since before she took office in 2023 and continued to increase, especially during the rainy season.

"The landslides have increased again due to heavy rainfall," he said.

The sub-district, continued Evi, continues to submit requests for handling to the relevant agencies.

Finally, the proposal update was made on December 9, 2025 and submitted to  the BPBD  with a copy to the Blora Regency PUPR Department.
