WBB is an abbreviation of Banyu Bening Tourism which has been managed by the Village-Owned Enterprise (Bumdes) Buana Tirta Tinapan for the past two years.

This tourist attraction offers various water rides, such as a children's pool, hot springs, fish play, and water slides using tires or fun tubing.

"The title is basically all about water," said the Head of Bumdes Buana Tirta Tinapan, Komed Abdullah, when met by reporters at the location.

Managed by the Village Owned Enterprises

Komed admitted that the development of this tourism sector was relatively slow because it was managed independently by the Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes) without involving external investors.

However, he remains optimistic that the tourist attraction behind the PT Gendhis Multi Manis (GMM) Sugar Factory will continue to attract visitors.

Currently, management does not charge an entrance fee. Visitors are only charged a parking fee.

"The tourist attraction is open every day, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.," he said.

During the New Year holiday season, the tourist attraction is crowded with tourists, both from Blora and outside the area.

"As for outside Blora Regency, there are already some from Tayu, Juana, Pati, Rembang, Sulang, and Grobogan, including Ngawi too," explained Komed.

Fun Tubing is the Mainstay of Banyu Bening Tourism. Of the various water rides available, fun tubing is the most popular among visitors.

"The current highlight is the fun tubing," said Komed.

He explained that fun tubing is an activity of sliding using a tire following the flow of water from top to bottom with a track length of around 500 meters.

To enjoy this ride, visitors are charged IDR 20,000 per person.

"I said the advantage of fun tubing is that you can hold your child.

"For example, children aged 3 to 5 years can be held on your lap and I guarantee it's safe, because the river has no potential to drown because it's shallow," he explained.

In addition, the minimum standard for fun tubing participants in one group is six to seven people.

"We don't have a minimum number of fun tubing participants. For example, if we only accept two participants, we'll combine them with other participants who meet the standard of six to seven," explained Komed.

The Need for Evaluation

Despite the popularity of the facility, Komed acknowledged that there are still many shortcomings that need to be addressed immediately, one of which is the length of the fun tubing track, which is considered insufficient.

"Frankly, I'd like to say that there may be some additional details that aren't long enough. With so many visitors, whatever the shortcomings, they motivate the management and will be the basis for our future evaluation," he said.

Visitor queue management is also a concern for management, considering the high level of public enthusiasm.

Due to the large number of visitors, the management finally opened a reservation system so that visitors would not be disappointed.

"We as management didn't expect it to be this crowded. We can honestly say we weren't quite prepared for such a large influx of visitors, especially for fun tubing," he said.

"We were the first to arrive at the location, but upon seeing the long queue, the manager decided to make a reservation first," he added.

During the New Year holiday season, Banyu Bening Tourism has received thousands of visitors.

"Even as of Sunday, January 4, 2026, we are already fully booked or overloaded with fun tubing participants," said Komed.

Visitor Feedback

One of the visitors, Ani Ardhani, said she was satisfied after experiencing the sensation of fun tubing at Banyu Bening Tourism.

"It's fun. There are relaxed parts, and then there are extreme parts. Yes, there are extreme parts too. It's really fun," said Ani.

According to him, the rates for these rides are quite affordable compared to similar rides in other areas.

However, he also provided a number of inputs to the management, especially regarding services and safety equipment readiness.

"Yes, there's actually still a long way to go. After I cross the finish line, there's still a path. If it were widened, it would still be possible, and I think it could increase the price range," he said.

"And what really needs to be fixed as soon as possible is service," added Ani.

He added that the availability of tires and safety equipment was still considered insufficient compared to the high level of visitor enthusiasm.

"The tires and safety equipment are still very lacking. When we arrived, they were just being installed. This means the number of tires is still very low compared to the already high public interest," said the visitor from Randublatung. (Endah/ IST )
