Organic Rice Award from the Ministry of Villages for the Regent of Blora

INFOKU, BLORA -The award as an innovative regional head in developing thematic villages for organic rice food security from the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions was received directly by the Regent of Blora. 

The award was presented by the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Prof. Dr. Reda Manthovani, together with the Minister of Villages, Yandri Susanto, last week, during the peak event of the 2026 National Village Day commemoration at the Indrokilo Botanical Gardens area, Butuh Village, Mojosongo District, Boyolali Regency.

At the beginning of the event, Village Minister Yandri Susanto, along with ministers, deputy ministers, and other invitees, released a number of doves as a sign of the peak of the Boyolali Declaration.

In his remarks, Yandri invited all parties to work together to unite their energies to build the village.

This is in line with the 6th Asta Cita, namely building from the village and from the bottom up for economic growth, economic equality and poverty eradication.

Furthermore, Minister Yandri revealed that the Ministry of Villages currently has 12 Village Development Actions programs. The Ministry also initiated the Village Development Festival, which features various activities, including the Food Security Village Festival, Stunting-Free Village Festival, Export Village Festival, Best Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Festival, and Village Pioneer Youth Festival.

"We have 12 village development initiatives. God willing, if these initiatives go smoothly, we will be able to enjoy the Golden Indonesia 2024 program for our children and grandchildren," he explained.

Yandri also targets the establishment of 5,000 Export Villages to revive the village economy and encourage national economic equality.

Meanwhile, Regent Arief Rohman expressed his gratitude for the award he received from the village ministry.

"Yes, of course, this encourages us to continue providing service to the community, especially in the organic farming sector," he said.

His party is committed to supporting food security programs, particularly organic farming. He also asked villages to innovate to support these programs.

On the other hand, the Village Head of Sidorejo Village, Kedungtuban District, Agung Heri Susanto expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all villagers and all farmer villages who are currently engaged in the organic farming program.

"Thank God, we received the Thematic Innovative Village Award for Organic Farming from the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions. We hope this will certainly spur enthusiasm so that villages in Blora, in particular, can further develop organic farming so that it can become an export," he said.

Agung Heri added that Sidorejo Village currently has 42 hectares of organic farming land. However, he continued, only 18 hectares are certified organic. (Endah)
