INFOKU, BLORA –It can be seen that the condition of the upstream edge of the Lusi River in Dukuh Lukbang, Puledagel Village, Jepon is getting worse.
Journalists' observations in the field show that the point where the land has collapsed is getting wider.
One of the residents of RT 04/RW 02 whose house was affected could not hold back his tears, because the ground continued to move during the rain, making the distance between his kitchen and the landslide only about five meters.
Previously, the 50-meter-long, 20-meter-wide, and 15-meter-deep landslide received temporary response from the Pamali Juana River Basin Office (BBWS) and relevant regional government agencies (OPDs) on Monday (January 5). However, this response was short-lived, and it has now worsened.
Yasir Mahmud, a local resident, feels very anxious and often cries when it rains.
"Four houses have been affected, three of which are my relatives' and my in-laws', and the other is my own house," Yasir told the press.
This condition has caused concern for residents whose houses are near the landslide point, some of whom have chosen to look for a safe place.
Yasir admitted that residents in three houses had chosen to move because the landslide was getting worse. Now, he admitted, he was the only one left standing.
"If it's handled quickly, there will be no plans to move. I hope the provincial government, regional governments, and relevant agencies will act quickly so it can be handled quickly, so it doesn't end up in the mosque," he said hopefully.
Yasir remains in his landslide-threatened home because he has no other choice. He admits he's ready to move if the local village government (Pemdes) provides land.
"Currently my kitchen is only five meters from the landslide," he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Puledagel Village, Bayani, said that his party had tried to overcome the disaster.
"We've replanted the bamboo and staked it, but it fell again. We submitted a proposal to the Public Works Department, and received a response directly from the Public Works Department and the BBWS," he said.
Bayani acknowledged that the Provincial Government had already carried out emergency measurements and handling.
"We used tree trunks to handle the situation. It lasted a long time, but now the landslide is getting worse. Then, together with the community, the village government, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forpimda), we brought in two pieces of heavy equipment," he said.
"Later, we'll provide something like gabions , then wait for the weather to calm down," he added.
It was mentioned that there were affected residents who were willing to move if land was provided.

He confirmed that the village government is ready to facilitate if anyone wants to move.
"Some people have moved, and they moved because they already have land. We've also submitted an application to Baznas for one house. The house renovation will likely take place in February, as the application period is January," he concluded. ( Endah/ IST )
