The Blora-Cepu Industrial Zone Plan is a Step in Attracting New Investors for the Blora Regency Government.

INFOKU  -  At the 2025 Blora Regency Business Meeting with the theme "Blora Investment Promotion Strategy" held at the Best Western Senayan  Jakarta , Blora Regent  Arief Rohman  explained the  strategic regional  investment potential to national business actors  to strengthen business networks, Tuesday afternoon (10/12). 

This activity was attended by the Head of Division XII of BPP HIPMI Muhammad Aaron Annar Sampetobing, the Head of  the Blora Chamber of Commerce and Industry  , and Business Experts from the  Central Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

In his presentation, Regent Arief said that Blora Regency's investment realization in January–September 2025 had reached IDR 1.6 trillion.

This investment comes from the food industry, food crops, plantations, agriculture, trade, construction, and metal minerals sectors.

"We will promote  this vast natural gas potential  to companies in the oil and gas sector. Blora has a strong potential to become an energy hub supporting industrial areas," said Mas Arief, Regent Arief Rohman's nickname.

In the  livestock sector , he said that the Blora cattle population is the largest in Central Java, so the downstreaming opportunities are very large.

"We want to create a downstream  beef product industry  in Blora, so that the community can enjoy its added value and strengthen  the local economy  ," he said.

From the food sector, Regent Arief added, Blora is the 5th largest rice producer in Central Java and the 2nd largest corn producer in Central Java.

In the future, Blora wants to build a livestock feed factory in Blora.

The combined potential of abundant corn production and a large cattle population is considered to be a strong asset for  investors  in the animal feed industry.

He continued, the Blora Regency Government  together with KADIN are currently designing a new industrial area (KI) in the Blora-Cepu area.

This area is considered strategic because it has energy support, accessibility, and proximity to the industrial areas of East Java.

"Almost 50 percent of Blora is forested, including Special Purpose Forest Areas (KHDPK). The Blora-Cepu area has great potential for development as a new industrial zone. We will consult with the Ministry of Forestry on this plan," he explained.

According to him, the 2025 Blora Regency Business Meeting is a crucial step in strengthening Blora's position as an investment-friendly, competitive region, poised to become a new center of economic growth in Central Java.  (Endah IST )
