INFOKU, BLORA -The plan to build the PSDKU campus of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in Blora Regency is getting more mature.
Saturday (6/12/2026) evening. The Chancellor of UNY Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, and his staff were present to hold a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Blora Campus Development Plan at the Regent's Official Residence Hall.
During the event, the Chancellor, who likes to speak with a Javanese Krama accent, said that in 2026 his party had budgeted billions to build a campus in Blora.
"We've budgeted billions. It will look like this (pointing to the image on the video wall). It could have four or even five floors, according to the Regent's instructions. What's clear is that there will be an elevator so the elderly won't tire themselves out climbing stairs," he said.
He then said that further details on the development would await the signing or handover of the state land grant from the Blora Regency Government to UNY Yogyakarta first.
"It's state land, so whether it's managed by the Regency Government or UNY, it will remain state land. Only the management rights have changed. Therefore, we will be ready to start construction in 2026 after the signing of the Regional Grant Agreement (NPHD)," continued the Rector of UNY Yogyakarta.
The party is very enthusiastic about immediately realizing the dreams of the Blora community to be able to obtain educational facilities at a State University that is closer.
"We have a strong bond with Blora. Nyawiji promotes prosperity for the people of Blora through education. This aligns with the theme of Blora's 276th Anniversary, "Nyawiji mBangun Blora Akur Makmur Misuwur." This is an extraordinary theme for fostering a sense of togetherness in regional development," he added.
Meanwhile, Blora Regent Arief Rohman also welcomed the plan to build the PSDKU campus of Yogyakarta State University in Blora Regency starting in 2026.
"Thank you, Rector, for coming to Blora. If possible, the building will have five floors. It will be a source of pride for all of us," said the Regent.
He also said that the study program that will be opened at the PSDKU UNY campus in Blora will be the sports major first.
"We will open a sports department first. We want UNY to contribute to improving the sporting achievements of Blora Regency. Considering that our many young athletes have the potential to be further developed," the Regent continued.

He and the Chancellor of UNY Yogyakarta also visited KH. Muharror Ali, the caretaker of the Khozinatul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Blora, to establish communication and explore the possibility of opening a student Islamic boarding school for UNY students in the future.
Considering that the PSDKU UNY campus is not far from the Khozinatul Ulum Kaliwangan Islamic Boarding School.
As a follow-up, Sunday morning (7/12/2025) the Regent of Blora together with the Deputy Regent, Regional Secretary and Chancellor of UNY Yogyakarta and their staff carried out a joint sport entitled Happy Cycling along the route to the construction site of the UNY Yogyakarta PSDKU Campus near the Blora City District Office.
