For this reason, the Blora Regency Government (Pemkab) has started to make savings on routine activities after.

Blora Regent, Arief Rohman, said that his party is currently conducting final discussions with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) and the DPRD Budget Agency (Banggar) regarding the reduction in the TKD allocation.

"How can the Rp. 370 billion that was cut not disrupt public services?" he said when met at the Mustika Blora Sports Hall, Central Java, Tuesday (11/18/2025).

Despite facing significant budget cuts, Arief emphasized that the Blora Regency Government continues to prioritize paying off regional loan debts and continuing its vision and mission programs with the available budget.

As an efficiency measure, routine activities such as meetings and business trips will be reduced, both in terms of number and cost.

"I've requested that meetings be snack-free. Yesterday, I tried holding meetings with just candy and water. That's one example," he explained.

Arief also gave an example of efficiency in official travel which is now carried out without an aide.

"Including travel. Now, if I need to travel, I don't use an aide; I just travel by myself. So, the aide doubles as a public relations officer and so on. This is a form of efficiency that we will implement in 2026 because we have to adapt," he added.

He did not deny that similar savings would also be applied to the legislative ranks.

"Yes, we'll ask for the same thing, and we'll correct everything. We'll correct things like the possibility of WFH (work from home) like we did during the Covid era," he said.

Arief said that a number of other regional heads had even implemented these efficiency measures due to the impact of the TKD fund cuts.
