Viral...!? Serving Beef Layers, MBG Kitchen in Ngawen, Blora Regency, Visited by Members of the Indonesian House of Representatives

INFOKU, BLORA –A surprise occurred when a member of the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) Danang Wicaksana Sulistya checked the free nutritious food kitchen (MBG) in Blora Regency, Central Java, Wednesday (15/10/2025).

Of the total 56 operational nutrition service unit (SPPG) kitchens, he visited the SPPG 1 Ngawen kitchen, which is located in Ngawen Village, Ngawen District.

He came accompanied by the head of the Blora MBG task force, who is also the Deputy Regent of Blora, Sri Setyorini, to see firsthand the food menu production process before serving it to the beneficiaries.

The Gerindra politician circled the kitchen wearing a hair covering and a mask.

While walking around, he saw the cooking process, serving, and storage and serving areas.

Danang admitted that the SPPG kitchen was one of the best kitchens in Blora Regency.

"I think this is pretty good, the menu is also great. Yes, thank God, there's Ngawen. Thank you, Mas Candra," he said after touring the kitchen.

The Viral MBG Menu Member of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that the SPPG Ngawen 1 kitchen was also widely circulated on social media, because of the food menu it served.

Some time ago, the kitchen served a menu of layered beef, yellow rice with fried onions, fruit salad, pickled lettuce, and dried tempeh.

"The partner was dragging the cow. It means this is pulling this," he said.

He admitted that he was ordered by the party to check the condition of the SPPG kitchen in his electoral district (dapil).

"What exactly is the SPPG that is already running like? And yesterday, he happened to be in Ngawen 1 Mas Candra while slaughtering his own cow, which is interesting," he explained.

SPPG Kitchen Opens Job Opportunities

According to him, the existence of the SPPG kitchen also creates employment opportunities and stimulates the economy for local residents.

"In addition to providing nutrition to children, it turns out that the SPPG volunteer employees are also from the area, which means increasing job opportunities in the area from the SPPG. I asked earlier, the ingredients are also from the surrounding area," he explained.

"This means that this will have a multiplier effect from MBG, which can stimulate the economy in Blora," he added.

In addition, he also appreciated the steps taken by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) which continues to make improvements so that the MBG program becomes even better.

The formation of a task force, the kitchen's eligibility to have a certificate of hygiene and sanitation (LSHS) is concrete evidence of the improvement efforts made by BGN.

"This is part of our collective struggle to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045," he said.

Meanwhile, Candra, as a kitchen partner of SPPG Ngawen 1, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who took the time to directly observe the production process of the MBG menu.

"We are activating social media as a communication and information tool for beneficiaries," he told Danang.

On the other hand, the Head of the Blora MBG Task Force, Sri Setyorini, appreciated the performance of SPPG Ngawen 1 which always provides the best service for beneficiaries.

"Alhamdulillah, we would like to thank our SPPG Ngawen 1 partners for correctly implementing the SOP. We just checked the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), and it also meets good standards," he explained.
