INFOKU. BLORA –Following the recent Pertamax adulteration case at Pertamina, motorcycles are now experiencing problems after filling up at gas stations.
For this reason, Pertamina stepped in to check the fuel content in Blora .
Area Manager of Communication, Relations and CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java - DIY , Taufiq Kurniawan immediately went down to the field.
As a result, his party claimed that there was no fuel at the Blora gas station that contained water or ethanol .
Taufiq explained in a press statement that his team went directly to Blora due to complaints on social media. One of the gas stations inspected was in Karangjati .
"So, we conducted a direct inspection with the Blora Regency Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Office ( Dindagkop UKM ). We conducted the inspection because we received complaints from consumers," he said.
They conducted various checks, both manually and digitally. The first test was to check for water or ethanol contamination.
On-site Testing
"We did a manual test. We inserted a stick smeared with water paste. If it was contaminated with water, the color would change. The results showed no change," he explained.
Then, digitally, using a device that can read the water content in fuel, the digital check also found no water or ethanol in the fuel at the Karangjati gas station.

"Both are compatible. Digital and manual methods have no water content," he added.
Next, a visual and specific gravity test was performed. This was done by directly observing the fuel being released from the nozzle. No abnormalities were found in the color.
"Just like Pertalite, there's generally no mixture of any kind. Because if there was, it would definitely separate. Oil has a specific gravity. If there was a mixture, it would automatically separate. This doesn't happen," he added.
Receive Complaints
He appealed to the public if they felt there were any obstacles or problems after filling up at a gas station to report it immediately.
Complaints can be made directly by visiting the gas station.
"So we can validate what time we filled up at the gas station, whether it was true or not. Thankfully, we have the receipt. That way, if we're truly at a loss, we can compensate for any damage to the vehicle," he explained.
For this reason, he hopes that people who experience problems with their motorbikes after filling up will not immediately take them to a repair shop, but rather to a gas station first.
"Secondly, we have a 135-person online call center across Indonesia . Just like today, if there's a complaint, we check it out. We can handle it and respond immediately," he said.
Additionally, the public can contact the complaint center. Gas stations currently have contact signs that can be used as a complaint center.
"If there is any damage, compensation will be provided immediately," he added.
However, based on inspections and the complaint post, they confirmed that Blora is safe. There have been no complaints or grievances.
"None of the products marketed in Blora contain ethanol at all. Blora is safe. The people of Blora, Rembang, Sragen, and the surrounding areas, especially those bordering East Java, are safe. There's no need to worry," he explained.
Meanwhile, Cepu-based content creator Lek Damis complained about the quality of Pertalite. In a video he uploaded, he stated that his newly purchased motorcycle had suffered serious damage.
"This is real, a new motorbike is actually damaged. What's wrong with the fuel? If not because of the fuel, what else? How can a new motorbike be damaged or unfit for use if it's not the fuel?" he said. (Endah/ IST )
