To Be Reactivated, Susi Air Will Land at Ngloram Airport

INFOKU, BLORA  –After several months of inactivity,  Susi Air  is expected to land  at Ngloram Airport . 

According to the plan, the airport in  Ngloram Village ,  Cepu District  will be reactivated as a pioneer airport, following  Ahmad Yani Airport  in  Semarang  which has international status.

However, we are still waiting for certainty from  the Ministry of Transportation .

"Yes (airport activation), the Governor has called me. Now it is still in the final discussion stage," said  Blora Regent  Arief Rohman .

Arief said, to reactivate flights at Ngloram Airport, the airline that will most likely enter is Susi Air.

His party is currently waiting for confirmation from the Ministry of Transportation regarding the final stages of airport operations which were previously on hiatus.

"We are still waiting for the final decision from the Ministry of Transportation. Hopefully the process will run smoothly and be realized soon," he explained.

He hopes that if Ngloram Airport is operational again, it will have a positive impact on Blora's economic growth.

Especially in attracting  investment  and encouraging the  tourism sector .

"Hopefully, it can open wider access for investment to enter Blora. In addition, local tourism potential can also be further developed with this easy air access," he said.

According to him, the Governor  of Central Java is trying to  reactivate  pioneer airports in several areas  of Central Java .

This is for the sake of equitable development and connectivity in remote areas.

Apart from the airport in Blora, airport activation was also carried out in Jepara, Cilacap, and Purbalingga.

"The Governor is currently pushing for the activation of airports in several cities. This is a strategic step to support connectivity and regional economic growth," he said.

It is known that Ngloram Airport has not served domestic flights for a long time.

The alternative plan to use  the Umrah feeder  that was initiated to reactivate the airport also stopped on the way. (Endah/ IST )
