INFOKU. BLORA – After several landslides in Ngetrep Hamlet, Tutup Village, Tunjungan District, damage has returned.
Even though it was repaired, the unstable ground conditions collapsed again, cutting off the road after being hit by heavy rain for the past two days.
As a result, several houses of residents in RT 08/RW 03 have reportedly collapsed.
A local resident, Kani, revealed that previous repair efforts had been unable to halt the landslide. The subsidence site was reinforced with wooden stakes and leveled using heavy equipment.
"It hasn't even been a month and it's already collapsed again, and it's even worse," he said.
According to him, the subsidence did not only occur on the road surface, but also spread to residential areas.
"There was another landslide during heavy rain, causing a resident's house to collapse," he added.

Meanwhile, the Sub-Coordinator for Development and Rehabilitation of Water Resources at the Blora Public Works and Public Housing Agency, Wahyu Benyamin Arivin, explained some time ago that the subsidence phenomenon at the location had been going on for the past two years and had occurred gradually.
He said the difference in height from the top point to the river was around 10 meters.

Meanwhile, the subsidence on the road body ranged from 0.5 to 1.5 meters with the affected length reaching 50 meters.
"Preliminary analysis indicates a drainage leak at the top. Water seeps down, loosening the soil and making it unable to support the load," he explained.
His party has coordinated with the Large River Basin Agency (BBWS) for further handling. (Endah)
