INFOKU, BLORA – The Wantilgung cracker production house or factory in Ngawen District was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon (2/5).
It is suspected that the fire originated from spilled cooking oil , the stove was still on after the homeowner took a break from frying crackers.
Due to this incident, the loss is estimated to reach IDR 200 million.
The Rapid Reaction Team (TRC) of the Blora Regional Disaster Management Agency ( BPBD ) , Agung Tri, told the press that the home industry of crackers owned by Ahmad Mustaqim, 45, caught fire at 12.30 WIB.

The fire occurred when the victim had finished frying crackers and was going to take a short break.

However, the stove is still on. Finally, the frying pan containing oil splashes out.
"Splashing crackers that had been packed in plastic then flames appeared," he said.
He continued, knowing this, the victim took water and poured it on the fire source. However, the fire did not go out, instead it grew bigger.
Next, the victim asked for help from local residents to try to put out the fire.

"But, it couldn't. Because the fire had grown big, ten minutes later the Fire Team arrived at the location," he explained.
He said it took firefighters an hour to put out the fire.
Involving two fire engines, one water supply vehicle and three BPBD engines.
The production house was burned down, estimated losses reached hundreds of millions.
"Due to this incident, the victim suffered losses of approximately 200 million," he said.
He appealed to the public to turn off the stove when they have finished using it.
So that a similar thing does not happen which caused the cracker production house to be completely destroyed by the fire.

It is known that Wantilgung Village is a village that produces Blora's typical crackers, made from cassava and sweet potatoes. Many villagers depend on the cracker business sector for their livelihood. (Endah/ IST )
