INFOKU, BLORA – Deputy Regent of Blora, Sri Setyorini, asked the Public Works and Public Housing Agency (PUPR) to immediately conduct a comprehensive evaluation to find out the main cause of the flooding that hit her area.
This was conveyed when he directly reviewed the flood-affected location and handed over emergency aid to residents in Mojorembun Village, Kradenan District, Wednesday (21/5/2025) afternoon.
"Immediately evaluate what caused the flood. Was it caused by the shallowness of the river or other causes," said Sri Setyorini, Thursday (5/22/2025).
In addition, he also instructed the PUPR Service to immediately handle damaged infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, especially those that endanger the safety of residents.

"For the PUPR Service, if there is road or bridge infrastructure damaged due to flooding and is dangerous, there must be immediate handling," he added.
This evaluation step is considered important as a basis for long-term planning.
The Blora Regency Government also plans to collaborate with the Bengawan Solo River Basin Center (BBWS) in managing the river basin to prevent similar flooding.
During her visit, the Deputy Regent, who is familiarly called Budhe Rini, also brought initial assistance in the form of basic necessities, emergency logistics, and public kitchen needs.

"For the time being, what has been handed over are basic necessities, public kitchen needs. The delivery of medicines has been done," he explained.
He ensured that the distribution of aid would be carried out in stages and adjusted to the number of affected residents.
"The amount of aid is in accordance with the number of residents who will be affected tomorrow," he added.
There were 1,200 people affected by the flood. The major flood that occurred on 19–20 May 2025 submerged hundreds of houses, schools, public facilities, and agricultural land.
Around 400 families or 1,200 people were affected by the flood. Siti Mutmainah, a resident of Mojorembun Village, recounted the moment when the flood entered her house in the middle of the night, triggering panic among residents.
"The incident happened yesterday at 12.00 midnight, water had started to enter the house and residents began to panic... In my house the flood reached half a meter. Furniture and appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, beds were submerged," said Siti.
He also expressed his gratitude for the assistance he had received.
