INFOKU, BLORA –Working visit to Blora district by the Ministry of Agriculture and PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) Friday (21/3/2025).
The activity, which took the 'Petroganik Farmers' Discussion and Great Harvest' program, was also to see the increase in rice productivity, which reached 17.2 percent by using Petroganik subsidized organic fertilizer.
Previously, farmers' rice cultivation productivity was only 6.5 tons per hectare.
Then the rice productivity in the Petroganik demonstration land in Kamolan Village, Blora increased to 7.4 tons per hectare.
This is due to the consistent use of Petroganik and as an effort to maintain environmental sustainability and realize sustainable agriculture.
Director of Fertilizer and Pesticides of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) of the Republic of Indonesia, Jekvy Hendra, expressed his appreciation to all Blora stakeholders who are the main supporters or leaders for the development of organic fertilizers.
"Congratulations to Blora which has pioneered organic fertilizer and God willing, perhaps Blora district will have a target of 20 percent of petroganics in Indonesia," he said during the mass harvest activity in Kamolan Village, Blora District.
Jevky explained that the use of Petroganik fertilizer does not eliminate the use of chemical fertilizers.
But rather balance the use of organic fertilizers with chemical fertilizers.
"Today's latest data shows that Blora has a high absorption of Petroganik organic fertilizer, and is one of the highest in Indonesia. This is the spirit that we must cultivate," he explained.
Meanwhile, Marketing Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Tri Wahyudi Saleh explained that his party conducted a Petroganik demonstration plot to provide an example to farmers.
The combination of inorganic and organic fertilizers can have a significant impact on increasing productivity.
"We from Pupuk Indonesia are educating farmers to use organic fertilizers in order to balance the use of organic and inorganic fertilizers. Alhamdulillah, with the use of balanced fertilizers, it can show quite good results," he said.

He explained that the C-Organic content of agricultural land in Blora Regency, based on sample test results, was still low or below 2 percent.
He said that this condition also occurs on average in agricultural land in Indonesia.
From the use of Petroganik with a dose of 500 kilograms per hectare, the condition of the planting looks quite good.
So that consistent use of Petroganik can increase productivity for agricultural land in Blora Regency.
"This is our cooperation program from Pupuk Indonesia, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Regional Government to support President Prabowo's Asta Cita for food self-sufficiency. This demonstration plot is not only here but also in several regions," he said.
Blora Has the Second Largest Subsidized Fertilizer Allocation in Central Java Tri Wahyudi explained that Blora Regency in 2025 will have the second largest subsidized fertilizer allocation in Central Java Province.
The total allocation reached 122,500 tons, with details of 67,500 tons of Urea, 50,000 NPK Phonska, and 5,000 tons of Organic.
Specifically for organic subsidized fertilizer, Blora Regency received 10 percent of the total allocation from Central Java of 50,341 tons.
Meanwhile, the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Blora to date is 27,208 tons or 22 percent of the total allocation.
In comparison, the percentage of subsidized fertilizer redemption in Central Java is still 18 percent or 246,165 tons.

"Blora's absorption is ranked number five nationally. Blora's absorption is above the national average absorption," he explained.
Meanwhile, specifically for the distribution of Petroganik organic fertilizer in Blora, it is quite good, because it has reached 44 percent of the allocation.
He hopes that this awareness of subsidized fertilizer redemption will be followed by other farmers in Central Java to obtain more optimal harvest results.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, who was also present at the main harvest, is determined to make his region one of Central Java's food barns.
"So we are determined to become one of the food barns in Central Java in particular, and this new planting is targeted by the ministry at 20, hopefully it can reach 25 thousand hectares," he explained.
Therefore, he represented the Blora Regency Government (Pemkab) in expressing his gratitude for the education provided by Pupuk Indonesia together with the Ministry of Agriculture.
"Hopefully, more and more people will use this petroganic, it turns out the results are good, we ask the Department of Agriculture and all ranks to be assisted by the TNI and Polri to develop this good product," he hoped.
On that occasion, Pupuk Indonesia held the Rembuk Tani program which is a company socialization forum to ensure wider and more affordable access to fertilizer for farmers, as well as encourage increased agricultural yields through dialogue and special discount programs.
This initiative is expected to help farmers achieve optimal harvest yields at efficient costs.
In the Rembuk Tani program, Pupuk Indonesia held a promotional program for purchasing transactions of Petroganik and Phonska Plus fertilizers during Ramadan.
With a minimum purchase of Rp200,000, farmers are entitled to a raffle coupon and have the opportunity to win various attractive prizes. (Endah/ IST )
