Problems with the Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), the Deputy Regent Instructs the Bogowanti SPPG Kitchen to Temporarily Halt Operations

INFOKU, BLORA - One of the SPPG kitchens in Bogowanti Village, Ngawen District, was found not to have a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) that meets standards.

This finding has sparked serious attention from the Blora Regency MBG Task Force.

This fact was revealed after the Head of the Blora Regency MBG Task Force, who is also the Deputy Regent of Blora, Sri Setyorini, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) directly, Monday (20/4/2026).

During the inspection, the Head of the MBG Task Force, accompanied by the Head of the Blora Health Service, inspected a number of points, starting from the kitchen area, the waste processing location, to the surrounding environment suspected of being affected by waste disposal.

"We are here to follow up on reports from residents that their wastewater treatment plant (IPAL) has not met standards. And coincidentally, the wastewater treatment plant (IPAL) is overflowing into the neighbors' area. We checked that the SPPG has met standards, but there is one thing that has not been met, namely the IPAL," said the Head of the Blora MBG Task Force.

The MBG Task Force had previously emphasized to all SPPG kitchens that they must meet eligibility standards, including having a Hygiene Sanitation Certificate (SLHS) and a WWTP in accordance with regulations.

"Yesterday, a month ago, I collected it. I'm really grateful because this is a regulation from the National Land Agency (BGN) that requires a SLHS and IPAL. I've given them until April 1, 2026, and I've checked that the IPAL doesn't meet the standards," he added.

Based on this finding, Sri Setyorini immediately reported the condition to the Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of SPPG Blora Regency for immediate follow-up.

Not only that, the Head of the Blora MBG Task Force also proposed that the kitchen's operations be temporarily stopped until all standards are met.

"Regarding the wastewater treatment plant (IPAL), it has deviated from the agreement. Whether I like it or not, I'll report it to the regional coordinator today. What action will the regional coordinator take? The National Land Agency (BGN) suggested that if the SLHS and IPAL are not in place, they should be temporarily closed. The decision rests with the regional coordinator," he concluded. (Setyorini/KOM)
