Blora Targets Stunting of 20.81% for 2025

INFOKU, BLORA -Deputy Regent of Blora Hj. Sri Setyorini stated that the stunting cases in the local district area are a shared responsibility and commitment. 

"That the case of stunting is a condition of growth failure in children caused by chronic malnutrition since the First 1000 Days of Birth (HPK)," explained Deputy Regent Sri Setyorini in the 2025 Blora Regency Stunting Discussion in the meeting room of the Regional Development Planning and Regional Research Agency (Bapperida) of Blora Regency, Wednesday, (19/3/2025).

Sri Setyorini, who is also the Head of the Blora Regency Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), explained that based on the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey or SSGI index at this time (latest data in 2023), the achievement of stunting reduction was 21.2%. While the Renstra target in 2025  is 20.81%.

At the same event, the Head of the BKKBN Representative Office for Central Java Province, Eka Sulistya Ediningsih, greatly appreciated all the efforts and achievements made by the Blora Regency Government in reducing stunting.

"I see the achievements in Blora are already extraordinary, it's just a matter of how to maintain and improve. However, don't let the achievements be lowered," he explained.

Eka Sulistya advised all parties directly involved in reducing stunting, especially the TPPS of Blora Regency, to report every progress related to the implementation of the stunting reduction and prevention program in each region.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Stunting Discussion Committee, A. Mahbub Djunaidi, who is also the Head of the Blora Bapperida, reported that this activity was an implementation of the mandate of Presidential Decree No. 72 of 2021 concerning the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction, where the national target related to reducing stunting in 2025 must decrease to 20.81 percent.

"Currently at 30 percent," explained Mahbub.

At the stunting discussion, a Joint Commitment to the Stunting Discussion Agreement was signed.

1.    Target to reduce stunting in 2025 (20.81%).

2.  The Regional Priority Program in PPS is directed at increasing the coverage of 12 essential service program indicators that have not been achieved.

3.  Increasing and strengthening the role of cross-sectoral, mass organizations, academics, the business world, media, development partners, and CSR in stunting interventions.
