Alleged Illegal Oil Mining Activities in Sambong

INFOKU, BLORA –As reported previously, miners cannot mine  oil  in  the old Ledok  and Semanggi  oil wells .

This is because they  terminated their contract  with  Pertamina  at the end of last February.

However, some time ago a resident discovered a  crude oil spill .

It is suspected to be the result of illegal mining, so the police are still investigating.

PT.  Blora  Patra Energi ( PT BPE ) handed over the findings to be investigated by the authorities.

It is known that  the crude oil spill  occurred on the forest road between Dukuh Trisinan, Giyanti Village and Ledok Village,  Sambong District , last Monday (17/3).

Crude oil puddles are seen at several points. There are traces of  the crude oil spill  being harvested by residents using plastic containers and straw to bind the oil.

One local resident, Rianto, said the oil spill is thought to have occurred in the early hours of the morning.

Some residents also had time to collect the oil spill that had flooded the road.

According to him, there was a truck carrying lantung  that had gotten stuck.

Because it was not strong enough, the load was finally reduced, so that it flooded the road.

"So, as far as I know, there are people  who take  some. Some get four big jerrycans. It's not bad if it's sold in  Wonocolo , it sells for Rp100 thousand per jerrycan," he said in a press statement.
