INFOKU, BLORA - Misfortune befell one of the students when the ceiling of the SMPN 2 Tunjungan classroom collapsed yesterday morning (6/12).
This incident immediately caused a number of students to panic and run out of the classroom.
The principal of SMPN 2 Tunjungan, Sudar, said that the ceiling collapsed at around 08.00 WIB, when students were taking part in the end-of-year summative assessment.
As a result of the incident, one student was injured and four other students suffered severe shock.

" One person suffered minor injuries. So, he can be treated at the UKS. Four others suffered severe shock because they might have been shocked," he said.
Sudar explained that when the roof collapsed, all students were asked to come outside to be saved.
Students' learning equipment that was still in the classroom was secured by parents and teachers.
After the incident, the exam activities continued, but were moved to the school pavilion.
"Because on Friday there is only one subject, students are sent home immediately," he said.

He admitted that he was worried that the ceiling would collapse because the load was too heavy.
Moreover, there was ground movement which caused the roof ceiling to shift position.
"Maybe the ceiling material was too heavy, secondly the ground here moved, so maybe it collapsed because of the change in the position of the ceiling," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Blora Education Office, Sunaryo, admitted that he had directly inspected the location of the room where the roof collapsed.
They plan to repair the damaged ceiling next year. The budget prepared is around Rp 200 million.
