INFOKU, BLORA -Commission C of the Blora DPRD conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) to PT Pentawira located in Jiken Village, Jiken District, Blora Regency.
This inspection was carried out in response to complaints from local residents that the water channels around the company caused flooding during the rainy season.
Chairman of Commission C of the Blora DPRD, M. Mukhlisin, said that reports from residents indicated that there was a problem with the water channel not functioning properly, resulting in flooding again.
"We and the related OPDs are following up on residents' reports to see the field conditions at PT. Pentawira and the water channels around Pentawira," said the chairman of Commission C at the location, Thursday, 12/5/2024.

From the inspection, his party hopes that Pentawira can resolve the flood problem quickly so that this flood does not happen again.
"Let's work together, the point is we also participate in securing and encouraging investment in Blora. Here we look for the best solution," he said.
The Chairman of Commission C reiterated that his party would not interfere with investors entering Blora.
Furthermore, he added that in order for the flood to not happen again, the management would immediately realize the addition of channels or culverts.
"So that the water on the highway does not accumulate in front so that it can be drained smoothly. And we hope that PT. Pentawira can realize this," said Mukhlisin.
At the same time, the Acting Head of the Blora PUPR Service, Nidzamudin Al Hudda, assessed that one of the obstacles in Pentawira is related to water management.
"Therefore, it is necessary to add water channels, in our opinion, that one channel is very dangerous if there is trouble or blockage, it will be a big problem because there are no other backup channels," said Huda.
Huda hopes that managing this water can be a blessing for the residents of Jiken and its surroundings.
Meanwhile, the representative of PT. Pentawira, Tari expressed his gratitude for the suggestions and input from the legislative members and related OPDs.
"I will convey to the factory owner to Mr. Lim, whatever suggestions you have, we will report them all to the leadership," he added.
According to Tari, last year the water problem had occurred, causing flooding to the point of jumping the highway because the water channel at PT. Pentawira had not been completed.
"However, yesterday's flood was high capacity. Alhamdulillah, although the water channel was one, it did not cause flooding as severe as last year," he said. (Endah)
