“PLN Peduli” Program, Dukuh Payaman Residents No Longer Lack Clean Water

INFOKU, BLORA -Residents of Dukuh Payaman, Nglobo Village, Jiken District, Blora Regency, now no longer lack clean water during the dry season. 

They felt very grateful for the assistance in the form of clean water sanitation and toilets provided by PT PLN (Persero) Central Java Transmission Main Unit (UIT JTB), Semarang Transmission Implementation Unit (ULP), so that the need for clean water could be met.

This assistance is expected to improve the health and economy of the local community.

With the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program from PLN, residents no longer lack clean water because water in the hamlet is abundant.

PLN has made an artesian well on forest land belonging to the Cepu Forest Management Unit (KPH), which is distributed through two large reservoirs.

This clean water is then distributed to 150 families living in Dukuh which is located in the middle of the forest.

Eko Hadi, as the manager, expressed his gratitude for this assistance and promised to maintain and manage the sanitation facilities well so that they can provide maximum benefits to the community.

"Alhamdulillah, for daily needs and livestock drinking water is now abundant. This has been distributed through taps in residents' homes. Previously, residents had to take water 1 meter away to get water in the dry season," said Eko, Tuesday (8/10/2024).

Jiken Sub-district Head, Joko Lelono, also hopes that this assistance can be sustainable and asks residents to utilize and maintain the clean water facilities properly.

"With the clean water program, MCK and reservoirs, it really helps the residents. Because we know that water is the source of life. With the presence of clean water, of course, we hope that it can improve the health of the community, which in the end can improve the welfare of the community," said Joko Lelono.

Joko also hopes that with this collaboration, the synergy with PLN will not stop here, but other programs are expected to be included in Payaman, Nglobo Village.

Meanwhile, Firdaus Muhammad Nur, Senior Manager of Finance, Communication and General Affairs, explained that the PLN Cares for Clean Water Village program is aimed at residents affected by the SUTET network, or high voltage network, especially those living in remote areas such as Dukuh Payaman.

"We see the character of Dukuh Payaman, often experiencing difficulties with clean water during the dry season, and also Nglobo Village is passed by high voltage transmission from us. And this is the first village in Blora to become an independent clean water village," he explained.

He hopes that this assistance can help improve the health and economy of the village.

The same thing was also conveyed by Novrizal Erdiansyah, Manager of PLN UPT Semarang, who signed the inscription for the handover of clean water sanitation facilities in Madiri Village, clean water.
