INFOKU, BLORA -The 2024 National Santri Day (HNS) commemoration ceremony at the Central Java Province level was carried out solemnly and smoothly at the Kridosono Blora field, Tuesday (22/10/2024).
The 2024 HSN roll call was led by the Acting Governor of Central Java, Nana Sudjana, and attended by thousands of students.
In the 2024 HSN ceremony, Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana read the remarks of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. KH Nasaruddin Umar MA.

Nana Sudjana said that Santri Day, which we commemorate every October 22, is a momentum for all of us to remember and emulate the santri who have fought for and defended Indonesia's independence.
History has recorded that the santri were one of the most active groups in inspiring resistance against the colonialists.
"One of the proofs of the resistance of the students against the colonizers was the "Jihad Resolution" event on October 22, 1945, which was announced by Hadratus Syekh Kiai Haji Hasyim Asyari," he explained.
The Jihad Resolution event on October 22, 1945 cannot be separated from the events of November 10, 1945. Without the Jihad Resolution event, the November 10 event would not have occurred.
In commemoration of Santri Day 2024, the Ministry of Religion carries the theme "Continuing the Struggle to Embrace the Future".

"On this occasion, I also want to emphasize that Santri Day does not only belong to santri and Islamic boarding schools. Santri Day belongs to all groups. Santri Day belongs to all elements of the nation who love their country. Therefore, I invite all elements of the nation, whatever their background, to participate in celebrating Santri Day," he said.
