INFOKU,BLORA -The Blora Regency Government (Pemkab) received assistance for the construction of a number of small reservoirs from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Directorate General of Water Resources through the Pemalu Juana Semarang River Basin Center (BBWS).
This is an effort to mitigate the drought disaster that often occurs in Blora Regency every year.

Head of the Water Resources Division of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (SDA DPUPR) of Blora Regency, Surat, representing the Head of the Blora PUPR Service Samgautama Karnajaya in Blora, Thursday (22/8/2024).
The construction of the reservoirs is spread over three village points, namely in Jiken Village, Jiken District, 1 point with a water storage capacity of 4,800 M3.
Then in Ketringan Village, Jiken District, 1 point with a water storage capacity of 3,200 M3 and in Andongrejo Village, Blora District, 1 point with a water storage capacity of 4,800 M3.

"The construction of the embung is a direct instruction from the Minister of PUPR in order to overcome the problem of handling drought disasters which often occur every year in the Blora Regency area when the dry season arrives," he explained.
"So it is true that this year Blora Regency received assistance from the Central Government through BBWS Pemali Juana Semarang in the form of building 3 small embung embungs spread across three locations, namely in Ketringan village, Kec. Jiken, Jiken Village, District. Jiken and Andongrejo Village, District. Blora," he explained.

The letter stated that this was a follow-up to the request of the Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, to the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono in early 2024, that Blora Regency be given assistance for the construction of reservoirs in order to reduce the impact of drought disasters which often occur when the dry season arrives in Blora Regency.
