INFOKU, BLORA – Several sub-districts in Blora often experience power outages every time before Maghrib from Sunday (31/3) to last Tuesday (2/4) for approximately three hours.
Because, it is known that there are dozens of overloaded transformers (excessive load/capacity). So, PLN is making improvements in stages.
PLN Blora Customer Service Unit ( ULP ) Manager Setyo Karminto explained that as many as 15 to 20 PLN Blora transformers in several areas experienced overload .
This is because electrical equipment users are booming ahead of Eid. It is predicted that this condition will continue until Eid.
Thus, causing power outages for quite a long time. To turn the transformer back on, it took about five hours.

"For example, the transformer installed is 50,000 volt amperes ( VA ), but the customer exceeds the usage capacity. "Finally, the transformer tripped and died," he said.
Setyo continued, actually every household has a limit or tolerance of 10 percent.
However, this tolerance is no longer possible, because so many households use electrical equipment. Meanwhile, the transformer does not have sufficient capacity.
"Customers usually light it together in the afternoon until 10 pm," he said.
Allegedly because many travelers are starting to return home. Then, turn on electrical furniture and usually bring electrical equipment from abroad. It is predicted that this will happen until Eid.
"Sometimes it cannot be predicted, because the cause can also be electricity theft, which is still common," he explained.
Setyo said that customers who were on overloaded transformer power lines would be transferred to another transformer.
Apart from that, you can also increase capacity. However, that took quite a long time. Because, it requires an application process to PLN UP3.
"We cannot guarantee that the peak of people returning home next week cannot be predicted," he explained.

“Yes, usually before Eid. "There is a lot of increase in the use of electrical equipment, which causes overload ," he explained.
Anton, a resident of Mendenrejo Village, Kradenan District, admitted that the electricity in his village experienced a blackout last Monday night (1/4).
However, in less than three hours it came back to life. "It went out at night, but not for long," he said. ( Endah / IST )
