If you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Blora's "Telaga Sarangan," come to Greneng Reservoir.

INFOKU, BLORA  -A relaxed and calm atmosphere is truly felt when visiting the Greneng Reservoir in Tunjungan Village, Tunjungan District, Blora Regency, Central Java.

To enjoy the beautiful panorama and atmosphere  of Greneng Reservoir , it takes about thirty minutes with a distance of about 12 kilometers from Blora Square.

There is no vehicle parking or entrance fee to visit the reservoir managed by the Pemali Juana River Basin Center.

Visitors can freely park their vehicles outside the fence of the reservoir, or near several stalls in the surrounding area.

Of the several stalls available, there is one stall that provides boat facilities for visitors who want to explore the reservoir with a tourist area and views of around 45 hectares.

Sujaedi (55), the owner of the stall and also the owner of the boat, admitted to the press that on average there were one hundred visitors who came to the Greneng Reservoir.

The activities of visitors to the Greneng Reservoir are also varied, some come to fish, some want to ride a boat, there are also those who visit with family or friends, to enjoy the calm water of the reservoir.

While sitting under a seri tree with a wooden mat while drinking coffee or drinking and eating food that is easily purchased at the available stalls.

"I have 20 boats (sampans), one boat costs Rp. 20,000 per day to rent," he said when met at the location, on Wednesday (24/12/2025).

He explained that his boat is usually rented by visitors for fishing.

For visitors who want to enjoy the Greneng reservoir by boat, the company has also equipped passengers with life jackets for safety.

"If there are visitors who are curious about riding a boat, we will provide life jackets," he said.

The existence of the Greneng Reservoir is actually for the purpose of agricultural irrigation for the community.

However, apart from irrigation, the reservoir also has other potential, such as fisheries and environmentally friendly tourist attractions for the community.

"Regarding fisheries, there are a lot of tombro fish, tilapia, patin, pompano, and lobster here," he explained.

Meanwhile, one of the visitors, Fitri (36), admitted that she came to the Greneng reservoir because she wanted to find peace.

"Yes, I just want to get some oxygen, it's far from the city, so if I want to calm my mind, I'll look for some light entertainment," said the resident of Sendangwungu Village, Banjarejo District.

According to him, the condition of the reservoir still looks beautiful, even though it is not well maintained and internet connection is still difficult.

"I think it's good, the view is almost similar to Sarangan, but it's a simple Sarangan. This is Blora's Sarangan, a cheap and economical tourist destination," he said. (Endah/ IST )
