KUR Cut Due to Insurance Costs, Eleven BRI Sidorejo Blora Unit Customers Feel Cheated

INFOKU, BLORA – There are dozens of  customers  who feel cheated by unscrupulous employees of Bank Rakyat Indonesia ( BRI ) Sidorejo Unit, Kedungtuban District.

Because, when I wanted to take out some of the people's business credit ( KUR ) money that had been saved, it ran out.

The customer asked for a return of savings money, which was allegedly used by insurance.

Rokim, a spokesperson for the defrauded customers, admitted that he had staged a demonstration with other victims at the BRI unit office last Friday (15/3).

Their arrival was to ask for the money they deposited for KUR disbursement.

"Yes, that's right (demonstration in front of the office), I want to ask for responsibility from BRI Sidorejo," he said, Sunday (17/3).

Rokim told the press that the initial chronology was in 2020. My father and his relatives want to get KUR of IDR 50 million.

Then, IDR 5 million was deducted by the BRI Sidorejo Unit orderlies on the pretext of saving and could take it back.

“At that time you only received IDR 45 million. Mantri said the savings could be withdrawn after five years," he said.

However, it turns out that after checking at the BRI Sidorejo Unit, currently IDR 350 thousand is left.

In fact, his uncle's had been blocked. This incident was not only experienced by his father and uncle, but also by nine other people.

But with varying discount values.

"If we track it  , there are even more, but yesterday there were around eleven people who came to the demonstration," he said.

KUR insurance?

According to him, this incident was quite worrying. Because the victims were parents who were farmers.

After further investigation, it turned out that the millions of rupiah deductions that were labeled as savings were actually included in insurance.

“Where KUR is subject to insurance,  this is  a ridiculous name. "That means we were cheated," he stressed.

Sumarwan, another customer also said the same thing. In fact, he deposited up to IDR 12 million for a KUR 50 million loan.

With the demonstration that was carried out, they hoped that the money would be returned.

“We don't want to know, the point is that our money must be returned. "We feel cheated by BRI," he said.

BRI Unit Head Sidorejo Agus said in a press statement that he would try to bridge the problems of customers who were demonstrating.

They still don't know anything about this problem. Because, he only took office at the beginning of January 2024.

"So, this incident was not in our era, but we will communicate it to get a solution," he explained.

His party has also coordinated with branch managers and leaders in Cepu to help resolve the problem.
