INFOKU, BLORA – Entering the rainy season, cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) in Blora Regency are starting to increase.
This condition resulted in the Emergency Room (IGD) at the Dr R Soetijono Blora Regional General Hospital (RSUD) becoming full.
Dr. R Soetijono Blora Hospital Head of Medical Services and Support Section (Kasi) in Blora, Farida Laela, said that dengue fever cases in Blora have increased since the last three months. Starting from October to December.
"In October the number of cases was still 37. November was 44 and this December it was 42 and the trend is still increasing," said Farida in Blora on Friday, December 29 2023.

As a result of this increasing trend, he said, the emergency room at Dr Soetijono Regional Hospital is currently full, so the hospital is anticipating this by implementing special management.
This includes immediately transferring patients who are no longer critical and immediately sending those who have improved.
“Most of the dengue fever patients are children. "There were 13 diagnosed with dengue fever," he said.
Even though the trend of dengue fever has soared over the last three months, his party assesses that this year's dengue cases will be less severe than in 2022 due to a number of factors.
"First, because the intensity of the rain this time is relatively lower, there may not be too many mosquitoes developing. Second, it could be because prevention at the community level is working well. Maybe people are becoming more aware of prevention. "So it's not as bad as in previous years," he explained.

Due to this condition, he advised the public to always implement Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) and be alert if they encounter residents who have excessive fever.
“Get help. "Don't go to health facilities (health facilities) when it's too late," he appealed. ( Endah/ IST )
