Failed to Obtain DAK, Leaving 374 Hectares of Slum Area

INFOKU, BLORA – There are hundreds of hectares  of slum areas  in  Blora  that have not yet been resolved. The slum area  alleviation  program  cannot yet be continued.

This is because the proposed budget for alleviation using  general allocation funds   (DAU)  has been  exhausted.

Apart from that,  special allocation funds   (DAK) also failed to be obtained.

In fact,  the  local  district government has  made efforts in the middle of the year. However, it has not materialized yet.

Head of the Housing and Settlement Division (Kabid) of the Blora Housing, Settlement and Transportation Service (Dinrumkimhub)   Denny Adhiharta Setiawan said that the problem of  slum areas is still Blora's  homework  .

This is because the area is densely populated, has poor drainage, poor road infrastructure and poor sanitation.

“The indicators presented are those. "So, there are still many that are considered  slum areas ," he explained.

According to him, there are still 24 sub-districts in five sub-districts that are  light level slum areas  .

Covering, Ngawen, Cepu,  Blora , Randublatung, and Jepon Districts. "In urban areas, there are still 374.1 hectares  of slum areas  that have not been eradicated. "In addition, this year the budget for slum eradication is reduced from the previous year," he explained.

He admitted that alleviation efforts had been carried out since the emergence of Regent's Decree Number 663/515/2022 concerning Determining the Location of Slum Housing and Settlements in  Blora .

"In fact, every year, Dinrumkimhub tries to reduce  slum areas  by around 10 percent. However, this year it has decreased slightly. "Yes, because the budget is minimal," he said.

The obstacle to eradicating slums, he said, was a lack of chemistry. Each department still has other priorities.

"In the future, residents who don't have land will be helped by bank credit. His house was built by the Central Java Provincial Government (Central Java Provincial Government). Examples already exist. "There are 12 people who received sustenance from the provincial government in the form of land in Kedungtuban," he explained. ( Endah IST )
